Man and the Beach

i am enthralled with this picture. a classic image of being alone. love the way in which the breaking tide leads to the dark figure who appears to be bracing himself against the elements. the heavy grain enhances the emotional impact. one issue...there are several spots in the clouds on the right that detract from an otherwise wonderful photograph.

All the elements that "compose" the photo - composition, raw b/w, noise, image nudity, only birds and a curved black human figure, dramatic sky,... - are like a hymn to the loneliness. Very good and meaningful image.

My eye immediately fell on this one.  I consider it a great picture, worthy of exhibition.

I am a bit of a fool for a dark, mysterious scene and this one fits the bill perfectly.
