satishmenonphoto 0 Posted May 6, 2009 Nice composition. Would have preferred the image to be a bit sharper. Still, a good image. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted May 6, 2009 Very good - I can see that the beak and eyes are very sharp - I think you need to go to f8 or higher number aperture to get more depth of Field and then more of the bird will be in focus. Warm regards, Link to comment
bronx 0 Posted May 7, 2009 Viewed large the sharpness and depth of field look good, if the little guy would have turned sideways a little bit I think that would have help a lot, love the background and the tree. A very nice photo. Best regards. Link to comment

jairorodriguez 0 Posted October 19, 2009 As far as I can see on my computer this little guy looks pretty sharp, so unless you wanted to get more of the scene in focus in front and behind the bird I think you did an outstanding job. I specially like the colors and shallow DOF. What kind of light conditions did you have? It looks to me like you had some diffuse light (reflecting over the bird's beak and tree branches??), but the reflection on the bird's eye might be coming from a flash? How far where you from the bird? Well, too many questions!! Jairo Link to comment
deb1 0 Posted November 4, 2010 I think little sparrows are so cute but they tend not to get photographed because they are so common. I photograph them every chance I get as I feel they deserve their 15 minutes of fame as well :) This is a lovely capture and your DOF is so perfect for this image. deb Link to comment
clayton_m 5 Posted January 12, 2013 The thumbnail of this image really stands out. The subject and composition are great. It could be improved even more by better resolution and sharpness, but sometimes we have to work with what we have, and this is an appealing image. Cheers, -Clayton Link to comment
clayton_m 5 Posted February 23, 2013 Please excuse me. I should have viewed this image in large size.I take back what I said about resolution and sharpness.Greater DOF might help, but the bird is definitely sharp. Cheers, -Clayton Link to comment
