I actually kind of like the center farm. It helps my eye to be led in a vertical path, and shows the scale of distance from the camera to the mountain. Hills alone might've been misleading.

A 'hat' on Steptoe.  Very nice!  I love the layers and soft colors.  Your Palouse shots are quite extraordinary, and I'm marking you as a favorite!
