Abbey 2002

I know it's hard to go wrong with eyes like these, but I'm trying to

figure out the best way to expose for animals like this with light

fur and dark eyes. Any helpful comments would be appreciated!

Sweet expression. One way is to avoid shooting in harsh light. I guess that the feller was out in the open (though the day was overcast) and hence the highlights on his shout and head are harsh. You want to try to shoot in the shade. Under a tree or probably an umbrella might do the trick. Cheers!

All in all a good photo (maybe because he's so cute?!). I love the red of his nose. The highlights of his snout and head are harsh, but I forgive you! Who could look into those eyes and give a bad review??

One more quick comment---the bright green background really complements your subject.

I guess the light is too harsh. Probably some PS filter should save the shot a bit.
