They are Darwish of sufi in Pakistan.

A severe pilgrimage of the desert over the saint's tracks starts after the festival of the anniversary of greatest sufi saint's death. All pilgrims keep walking in the desert determining the death. This photograph was taken when I participated in last year's pilgrimage.

Thanks for following up with the explanation, Takuji. Now I think I understand the title. It must have been quite a journey!
