yakim_peled1 0 Posted December 11, 2002 I agree, its lovely but what is that black area on the left ? Link to comment
simon_heath 0 Posted December 11, 2002 I think this would have worked if you had a single pidgeon. However the out of focus pidgeons in the foreground are very distracting. The bright haloe's in the background are also distracting, may be a slightly different angle, add/or some flash would help. On the postivie side, I like the muted colours against the grey. jud 0 Posted December 13, 2002 I like the minimal but expressive colors in this one. In this image, I see a statment about the individual standing out from the crowd, in this case the "gray, faceless masses". The taller, more dominant pose of the central bird enhaces this effect. The two blurred heads in front and the many blurred images in the back are in the wrong place in the wrong time when opportunity knocks. They greatly add to the story that I see in this image. The grays and the assembly line-like cement vanishing into infinity adds depth and an industrial feel. Far from a simple portrait of a bird. Very good work! Link to comment
marcelosoriarodriguez 0 Posted December 14, 2002 wonderful! And, among all other pigeons, this one is right looking at you... did you get a model release from this one? Maybe it will try to sue you, if it knows you made this photo public... :) I guess there was nothing you could do about it, but the black empty area on the left of the picture is, er..., empty :) Nothing to add about the rest of the image, just that I like it quite much! juant 0 Posted December 16, 2002 The wall where the piegeons lay gives a effective deepth to the image, this added to the sharp deepth of field makes it a very rich image with a strong point of interest. The foreground dark bird disturbs me a bit though. Link to comment
nomade 1 Posted December 18, 2002 Who could ever imaging that a single pigeon could stand out with so much personality! Link to comment
seven 0 Posted December 21, 2002 You've used a shallow field depth to good effect - to emphasise your main subject : however, I feel the ighting is too harsh in that region, and suspect a stronger contrasting bg might have imbued the image with more impact. Good eye detail though. Link to comment
gordon_szeto 0 Posted March 20, 2003 I agree with some of the earlier comments. I really like the muted colors and your use of DOF. My pigeon pictures never come out this nice! Link to comment
bryantrook 0 Posted January 10, 2004 I really like how with all the pigeons, only one is in focus, and it really stands out. Great job Link to comment
