stephen fair 0 Posted December 10, 2002 What technique did you use for the border? The burgundy clothes compliment the skin tones well giving a feeling of warmth in the photo Link to comment
tomsperduto 0 Posted December 10, 2002 Looks like it can be a bit sharper. I like the border. Link to comment

mg 0 Posted December 21, 2002 I like the look of this very much... Too bad there is some light coming in on the left side, which fades the colors... A little PS will settle that. Regards. Link to comment
seven 0 Posted December 31, 2002 I really appreciate the way the face is framed by the fur and gloves, and that you've managed to keep the colours clear of the skin.In certain places the lighting is a little hot, but somehow the soft focus approach has served to diffuse that. The contrast of general warmth with "cool" eyes is a good one. Incidentally, it is very common for photo.net critiques to bash the (deliberate) use of soft focus - in my opinion it has it's place : one of the great mood enhancers, up there with manipulations of general optical reality such as black and white, and colour toning. Moderation would be my only caveat, not to be overdone; and it isn't here. Lovely work. Link to comment
jed 0 Posted January 1, 2003 Thanks for including the other pic of Sarah. She's lovely, takes a lovely picture. The eyes have "soul", it's interesting, it has mood, cropping is good, giving a nice feeling of intimacy for the viewer, the border is tasteful. Looking at certain angles on the monitor, it shows up as having burned highlights but looking "square on" its contrast gradient and tonal range are excellent. Yes I would agree that light comming in fromthe left is out of sync with the rest of the pic. A V.Good Pic. Link to comment
marc p. 0 Posted January 7, 2003 Picture is a little too soft for me, but great composition and nice colors. Link to comment
apps 0 Posted February 27, 2003 This is my favorite image of your Sarah. She has that incredible Vanessa Williams beauty. I'd be tempted to try some extreme digital manipulations since you have such a wonderful facial structure to work with. Link to comment
