Guest Guest Posted April 29, 2009 Anna, This is a beautiful girl with gorgeous blond hair - She has a wonderful complexion - Nice skin tones - The position of her nose on the vertical center of the photograph is perfect - The black background is just right for her. A couple of suggestions: Her eye make-up is too dark (her eyeliner is too dark and heavy and her mascara looks to dark) - You have not lit her eyes well (it looks like you are casting a shadow onto her eyeball and the catch lights are on the bottom of her irises - I'm not sure what the white line is on her chest or if the dark area below that is clothing or a deep shadow (either way none of that should be there - Her shoulders are bare therefore, I feel the rest of should be, too – Watch her shadows (you don’t want any deep shadows on her - Don't crop into her head (it just doesn't look good and there is no reason to) - If you are going to do a mirror-image you should have both sides the same, not just close (make sure the cropping on top is exactly the same as on the bottom) - With this image I believe it would look better if top and bottom were both in crisp focus. Nice shot of a beautiful girl, Mark Link to comment
annamiller 0 Posted April 29, 2009 dear Mark,i'm very grateful for your opinion and suggestions, the matter is that this is self-portrait and i had only 9 sec before the shutter would release. Link to comment

prguarrera 0 Posted May 1, 2009 What a great composion. I noticed you have another model in a similar composition in your portfolio. I did agree with Mark on the shadow in your eyes; however, the more I look at this the more I like it just the way it is. There is a certain mood that you have created that is wonderful! Congrats!!! Art X Photography 1 Posted September 23, 2009 given the time delay to position yourself, I think you have done very well Anna. yes, the symmetry could be a little better but then again almost all shots in PN can be a little better. great effort Link to comment
micah_robinson 0 Posted December 26, 2009 Anna,I don't know how you photograph yourself so well... Black magic? But well done.I think the fact that the top of your head is cut off on the bottum draws the eye up to see you, not your reflection. And isn't this what we all really want? To be seen for who we really are. Lovely, lovey hair, don't cut it;) I'm unsure what you've done to deserve the imput of Mark Chartrand but whatever it was I'm sure you regret it;)Mark, lighten up dude. You're overly critical.Perhaps we could see what the masters in photography and teaching it as well has done for your craft? And before you say it I know I have nothing posted as well but I also just became a member and haven't gotten any up yet. Anna keep it up, you're doin' a great job. Link to comment
