Drew, the colors in this are exquisite. Your choice of rotten wood door shows well. The chipped paint leaves yellow and mildewed wood that contrasts the old blue of the original door. Great lines of symmetry—the brass handle nicely compliments the browner right side. Excellent work.

so very fine shot ,beautiful lighting, colors.textures, and so very fine details,I think this door worth a larger composition,I have felt that you have concentrated on the old fine lock, and you have all the right to do so,yet the whole door worth an other shot, very fine indeed,my regards.

Austin - This is definitely a compositional piece. The placement of different elements is purposeful. Thanks for noticing and commenting on these.

Przemek - The texture and detail is what I like most about this. Thanks for the kind words.

Saad - I focused in on a smaller area of the door because I find that images that show the whole thing seem to lose their sense of mystery. Thanks for looking and commenting.

I appreciate any and all comments. Thanks.

That's a great find. One of those things most people walk past every day, but waiting to be "seen". Wonderful colors and textures.

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

I was grabbed a number of times during my short visit to this small town in Hungary by textures. I saw and shot many cracked and peeling doors, windows, and walls. It will take me awhile to work through what I have.
