raystofberg 0 Posted April 23, 2009 Great perspective chosen. The post processing gives it a nice worn but warm feeling. Maybe a touch too much burning in the top right corner? All in all a very compelling images with a very creative POV. Link to comment
dasha 0 Posted April 23, 2009 Very strong expression ,increased a little more contrast. Link to comment

elportebonheur 0 Posted April 24, 2009 Extraordinary portrait! Instrument and musician are one unit, colors and light in total harmony. Something very special you present here. Thank you for sharing! Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted April 24, 2009 A fabulous portrait that has been very well executed. On my monitor I did not like the color and thought there was a cyan bias. I downloaded it to see what I could do re my personal tastes. As soon I had it in Photoshop and without doing anything, the color was great. Further investigation shows that the color space is Adobe and PN prefers it in SRGB. I converted it to SRGB and will reload it for your perusal. Link to comment
angel_pena 0 Posted April 25, 2009 Mr. Hadley is absolutely right, the cyan cast is there. Its amazing what you can do with selective contrast. I love this image. Link to comment
heider 0 Posted April 25, 2009 For me this is a masterpiece. Some would comment that its over processed, but I think its like many paintings from the 17th and 18th century that depends fully on the high contrast for stronger impact. Most of Rembrandt's works are based on this concept. If you think this is over processed then this is the result of our eyes getting too much used to Canon's and Nikon's "Natural Colours" from their lab tests . Well Artistic colours are not "Natural Colours". This is a very artistic powerful portrait. Regards. Link to comment
martha_cabey 0 Posted April 26, 2009 I love the gaze and pose of the sitter. Wonderful colours. Fantastic portrait. Link to comment
soniam 6 Posted April 30, 2009 What a brilliant and original image. I am becoming quite a fan of your work. The lighting and details are perfect. I love the wear and tear on the well used and loved instrument. To me, it is the little things, like the heart and arrow scribed in the brass, that set this off. The expression and character is perfect. Superb in every way. PN will not allow me to give you 7s at the moment but I love this image. It is going into my favorites folder and I promise to give it the rating it deserves when I can. Link to comment
