This photo! It gives the sunny destination of a summer beach, with snow - excellent idea! I really like this one

While the photo in itself is not astounding, it does tell a story, and an excellent story indeed. A reminder to all of us, that a good idea is always superior to any form of technical feat. Well done.

Mixed moods on your photo. The light suggests the warmness of a summer day at the beach. So the destination is reached before the road begins. I wonder what the prints 'owner' was looking and thinking. And if he/she really was going to the sea or coming from it. It seems he had followers also :) Are those your footsteps?
I like the heaviness of the first step in the foreground. It shows a lot of determination and will. The composition is good, I like that the path is almost centered, it's a good way of seeing the hesitations on the way.

Very cool concept. Love the low angle with hugh foot step. Might be nice with a tiny bit more water. It's fun, at first I thought it was just a white sand beach, but then saw the regular sand towards the sea.

Laura,

Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't really think this shot stands up to the quality of work in the rest of your portfolio. This is the only shot of yours that hasn't made me say "wow, that's a really cool way to look at _______". I don't think this is a bad photo, just a plain one, and if the rest of your work was not of such a high caliber, I wouldn't say anything at all.

Just my $.02, hope I didn't offend you.

Of course you didn't offend me! Don't worry about it. Actually, if anything, you have complimented me, because you have pretty much told me that I have good work throughout my portfolio. This image is actually losing its appeal with me over time. I was rather disappointed with the result, because there was actually more sky and sea in the picture initially, but there were several flaws (inconsiderate people walking in my picture, a crooked skyline, etc...) so I had to extensively crop.

I have so much cleaning to do this spring/summer, so I think that I'll extend my cleaning to my photo.net portfolio... :)
