I like the basic composition, but I have seen too many sunsets at sea to find this appealing. For me the colors are overdone; the clouds and sea are red-orange and kind of an olive green which create an angry unrealistic edge to a scene that seems to want softness and serenity...even its name hints at this. The picture does not relate to its title.

I appreaciate very much your sincere opinion. The picture was not modified in any way. It was one of that special moments when the clouds retreatead after storm and suddenly sun appeared and coloured the sky and sea in a special way. I was walking on the other side of the bay and saw from distance that something special was developing on the sunset side. When I came here I could not resist against capturing it.

The title describes the embracing of appearing, new quality of the light by the clouds and sea.

There may be some slight difference in monitors and calibration that creates some color variation. I wish you had told the story of seeing the clouds after the storm in your comments when you uploaded the photo. Now I can relate to the events and understand the history. I saw a lot of olive green in the cloud instead of gray or blue gray that one would normally expect. Where I live, when we see green clouds we take shelter because the weather is right for tornado development. Green skies and greenish clouds are a very bad sign... maybe that is why I felt so strongly about the title (I can't feel the "embrace" when the clouds remind of something really bad). I saw and felt violence - but in this photo it is ebbing, not arriving. The brilliant orange sky color is rich and wonderful - I could look at it all day, but the rest is very foreboding to me..... interesting how our experiences can shape our vision. If I had been there I would hae taken a picture also! Now that I understand the context I can appreciate it much more. Thanks for elaborating!
