dand1 0 Posted April 21, 2009 Cliché pose :-) This was a technical challenge in itself. Taken from the tour bus, handheld at 200x2x1.6 (200 mm lens with 2x converter on a 1.6 cropped sensor). The kids did not even see the guy with bare eyes. The original picture is very sharp and overall I was very pleased with the result. What do you think? Thanks, Dan Link to comment
matman1975 0 Posted April 23, 2009 Hello Dan, this is a remarkably sharp, handheld shot, well done. Technically it suffers a bit in light and composition. Light is very harsh, since you obviously took this shot during midday, composition not very good too since your subject is too centered. When the animal isn't close enough in order to "fill" your frame it is a better choise to use the rule of thirds and include this way more of the environment that the animal lives. dand1 0 Posted April 26, 2009 Teo, I took your advice. I tried to crop it a bit different and increased the contrast since I don't have that much shiny rock into the frame. I love your wild animals galleries and no zoo can get any close to the real thing. Thanks for the comment and keep up the great work! Dan Link to comment
