Blue Mountains NP, NSW, Australia

I had been following this storm on the way back from a more remote national park.

Fortunately it happened to settle over a point where I had been scouting earlier in the

day - Govett's Leap. As luck would have it, returning to the location allowed a good

view of the isolated phenomenon over a valley's ridge. The cloud was constantly lit

by electrical energy but was too low to see any bolts hitting the ground.

ISO 800, f4, 40 seconds.

Amazing light! The combination of beautifully lit thunderclouds and brilliant stars just puts this over the top.

those cumulus clouds are just awesome in their movement and particularly their delicate transparency. Your treatment of light and dark, also excells, Kah Kit. toast

Rare sight indeed where I come from, it works really well with the stars in particular. Well done, did you get any tighter in?

Absolutely breathtaking. You should be very proud of this shot. A huge achievement. I hope someday to have the experience it takes to capture such a phenomenon. I can't offer any critique, just THANK YOU for sharing this.
