If you wanted to make a pattern design, I would suggest you to use higher depth of field, so, all the curves were perfectly in focus. I was trying to visualize how it would affect if you focus on the beginning of the curves letting the rest of the body out of focus.

One of my main subjects are snakes, so you may want to visit my portfolio and take a look to what I have done.

Any way, these are just ideas because your are the master mind behind the lens!
