g1 0 Posted December 7, 2002 Beautifully romantic. The contrast of bluey whites of the snow, and the warm yellows and reds from the light are quite striking. The costume looks authentic but that big wooden cross is a bit over the top. Link to comment
michaelk 0 Posted December 9, 2002 The lighting is perfect. While I agree the cross is a bit much everything else is perfect. I love it!!! Link to comment
scott bulger 0 Posted December 9, 2002 There doesn't appear to be anything "lucky" about this shot. It seems to be a well thought out, well planned image. Top notch work. Link to comment
seanna_mcclairen 0 Posted December 9, 2002 I agree with Scott. Nothing LUCKY. Just beautiful work. Link to comment
gerard 0 Posted December 10, 2002 Thanks a lot for sharing your technique on the lighting. Great well-thought shot!. I wonder how long it grew in your mind before becoming reality. Every little detail is nicely covered, even the snow, which doesn't reveal paths of 'setting-up'. I agree that the cross is a bit too big but is a microscopic detail compared with the total craft.regards, Link to comment
vvazquez 0 Posted December 12, 2002 Lord of rings? ;-) Magical, no just the contents, also the compositions, the light and your great execution. I love it. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 12, 2002 Because it looks horribly artificial. Besides, I don't see anything original too. Link to comment
howell_white 0 Posted December 12, 2002 It seems to me just a little too much daylight to justify the torch lighting. If the background lighting represented a touch more darkness ... Link to comment
mg 0 Posted December 14, 2002 Well executed, and nice colors here, but... I feel the concept and expression are a bit weaker. She's too posy for me, and the background is too bright imo. Would we use a torsh when daylight is still there ? I doubt. Going a bit darker on the background would be at the same time more realistic and more beautiful imo.Well, don't get me wrong, it's still good work... Cheers.Ooops... I read Howell's comment only after writing mine. Could have saved me writing mine, it seems... Link to comment
don_harper_the_edge 0 Posted January 3, 2003 Great lighting, wonderful composition draws me in.I don't have a problem with the ambient light. . Maybe she's approaching a cave entrance or a dark temple, etc. The strength of this photo is the lighting Very very good, and thanks for sharing. Take this critique as helpful or rubbish as you see fit. Link to comment
andrew_ellien 0 Posted April 4, 2003 Nice idea, much better than the last fantasy pic, but wait untill it is a little darker next time. Link to comment
chaunceygibbons 0 Posted February 17, 2004 My fellow silly Americans. It's not a fantasy picture... That's how Norwegians dress in Telemark! :) Link to comment
markus_maien 0 Posted April 2, 2004 I love the lighting and I don't think the background is too light. Maybe it's dawn and that's exactly the type of lighting effect you would get in the woods. Great work. Link to comment
