tmcleland 0 Posted April 14, 2009 This may be a little ironic coming from me, as I love and frequently use motion in photographs (and frequently get low ratings as a result ;). Often I find it's helpful if something is left clear as sort of an "anchor" for the rest of the activity. For example, stabilizing the camera on a nearby surface to freeze the church (phone booths, square posts, tables...God forbid a tripod) or if that's not available, using a flash to freeze the people, but keeping the exposure time the same (I'm guessing 1/4-1/2 sec here?) so as not to lose the motion.
