iancoxleigh 0 Posted April 15, 2009 I loved this silvery grass which is growing in a band which wasleft fallow between two fields of wheat. I went out of my way to findand photograph this type of grass when I was in the Palouse regionbecause I love its texture and the contrast with the green wheat. Matthew Brennan 3 Posted April 15, 2009 .........is excellent. You have made a good frame of these simple but dramatic elements. The clouds are placed perfectly in my opinion. All the best, and hope Egyptology takes you far and wide. Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted April 15, 2009 Frozen here, yet pregnant with flow ... each segment contained without being confined ... playful and airy ... a gentle melody , adrift upon a summer breeze ... Link to comment
iancoxleigh 0 Posted April 17, 2009 Matthew, thanks – especially for the comment about the cloud placement. I was quite happy about that myself. Gordon, thank you so much. You've gone away and returned as a poet! I'm glad that the flow and breeze come through here. Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted April 18, 2009 I would not even pretend to be a poet, although I do enjoy poetry. I just though that for a change of pace I would try relating my reactions from a different room in the house and leave the door shut on the analytical space .... a view from the roof seemed in order. The flow is what pulls me into the frame. I like the sensation that the flow has been momentarily halted in order to give me a chance to observed, however it could at any moment resume .
