justin_mcbee 0 Posted February 20, 2001 Well I finally uploaded one... please give me any feedback. Hows the exposure? Do you like the heavy contrast? Does this photo make you want to see more? Link to comment
helleman 0 Posted February 20, 2001 Cool... to bad we could't see the guitar... Perhaps you should crop in more to the hat+face+beard+mic and drop the rest. Link to comment
lightcraftsman 0 Posted February 20, 2001 As far as concert photos go this is nothing special. Anyone with decent skills and decent equipment can take a photo of a singer with his lips on the microphone. I've done a lot of live music photography, and the best shots are taken away from the microphone. Try getting the musician jamming away, get two standing next to each other while playing. Anything to get them away from the microphone. Encores are usually best for action shots during live performances, because the musicians are giving it their best, and save a popular song for the encore. They feed off the crowd's energy, and it shows in the photos. Of course, this is much easier when you're a staff photographer and have unlimited access to the good angles than when you're a paying guest and have limited time before having to clear the area for the next photographer. tom_menegatos 0 Posted April 26, 2001 Very hot on the cheek. Maybe just too much contrast. These negs are usually thin and printing can be hard. Might be the monitor I'm using though Link to comment
bleck 0 Posted January 14, 2002 Pretty boring... I see a million shots like this every time I pick up a music mag. Link to comment
