Painting the Mountains Mystery

Early morning fog turn Rainier into a glowing beacon above the spring

paintbrush.

Beautiful color. The eye is drawn to the red and green in the foreground and then moves up to the breathtaking mountain. It would have been even better if there were no fog/mist. Nice work.

Wow, simply amazing! The colours here are so fantastic. I don't think there is a thing that I'd change.

 

Plus, I certainly wouldn't wish the fog away. The mist has been so wonderfully captured here. I am impressed that you have such definition to see the background through the fog and yet its impact hasn't been lessened.

 

 

 

Very beautiful with many interesting elements; the sun on the mountain seen through magical fog then carried into the water reflection, faded tree line and the vibrant color of wild flowers in the foreground. Nicely composed and balanced with the grouping of trees and point of land on the left.

Raymond - without the mist the image would have been very flat, and would have lost it's appeal for me. As others pointed out, the mist is what's creating the glowing and ethereal look of the mountain.
