GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted April 8, 2009 I remember the exact moment I took this photo...a perfect warm September afternoon....(for those who may wonder, I chose to leave more room to the left...the DOF was so soft... Iwas experimenting with Depth of Field) comments welcome...thankyou Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted April 10, 2009 There's plenty going on in the background Gail. I think the balance in this photo is fine...and what a LOVELY shot. The frame compliments it too though I think sending the shadow to the L might have been better (like the shadow in the photo). But that's minor in this case. I plan on going through the rest of your work as soon as I can (maybe later this evening). I glanced and see that there's much beauty to enjoy. ;o) God Bless Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted April 10, 2009 Thank you Joanne for your time taken to post a helpful critique. The bud of the Weigelia was just peaking out into the sun...this bush is under quite a few trees. I was experimenting in Program mode....fiddling with my own settings(all very new to me)...so I was quite pleased that this turned out very close to what I'd hoped. I often find red's and Magenta colored flowers difficult to photograph(if you have any suggestions....pleas feel free)......Enjoy every blessing this weekend offers us, sincerely, Gail Link to comment
