steve_wagner1 1 Posted December 22, 2009 Theodore I will challenge you a bit on this. In general your wildlife images are great, but this is a very unremarkable image. I have photographed wild baboons in South Africa very extensively (www.wildnorthwest.org/galleries/baboons.html), and this shot says very little. There is no eye contact with the camera or between the baboons, it doesn't give any sense of behavior, it tells you nothing about the habitat or environment and they appear to be on a road, it doesn't inform the viewer about foraging, preening, etc. This kind of photo is a dime a dozen as far as baboons go, and given the strength of your portfolio, it doesn't belong here with the keepers. Hopefully this can be seen as constructive criticism. Baboons are one of the most captivating and beautiful subjects in nature. Set the bar high when you are representing them. Link to comment
