I hand held a Hoya 4X add-on macro over the Sigma 105 macro lens to get this (Hoya

was a hair too small to screw on). Photo is uncropped. Comment/critiques appreciated.

Hey Tony - thanks for the good words. It's good to be getting back in the swing. As for the foot - I am and I will : ) This was one of the last shots I took back on April 1. Couldn't do photo work until this afternoon after the drugs finally all washed out. 'Tis good - keeps me planted upon my backside, feet elevated and mind occupied!

I've already seen something like this by you Sandra, the same angle of view I mean and of course the same or similar motif (subject)! Very nice thing indeed! The background is shining a bit and it gives some special atmosphere!

Senol, Pierre-

Thank you both so much for your comments. Pierre, you are correct, I do like to photograph flowers from behind. The backs of the petals are often very beautiful. The eye is so engaged with the front of the flower, the mind often forgets the back, and many unusual photos are missed. (I also like to photograph wilting and dying flowers for their unique beauty.) The background glow is simply the strobe illuminating the soil and wood chips on the ground. I was very pleased with the lighting effect.
