Deserted Playground

Deserted but not sad at all. The warm tones of the earth fit the yellow structure very well. A little bit of yellow and blue and a touch of black and red. Miro in the playground dressed in Mondrianesque colors. Beauty.

If the fall from the swings does not kill you then the sudden and inevitable impact with the yellow guard rail surely will. I like that. Kids need a sense of adventure.

 

There are very few interesting playgrounds left around here anymore. It appears that the only safe and sanctioned activity is walking slowly on level unbroken ground or sitting at home on the couch playing video games. We were the true pioneers of childhood.

Well said. I can't remember the last time I saw a kid up a tree. When I was a kid, we were like monkeys and the risks we took now seem amazing in retrospect.
