ricklundh 0 Posted March 31, 2009 This is one beautiful image...it deserves higher ratings in my opinion 7/7. This would make one killer large print! Link to comment
floris2 0 Posted April 1, 2009 Thanks Rick, it does make a beautiful big print :D The rating system is pretty silly, I tend not to pay attention to it, and I would check the critique only box, except from my experience it seems that they get less exposure then. But thanks for the kind words! Link to comment

whydangle 0 Posted April 23, 2009 Floris, I have had my eye on this for some time, mentally preparing my thoughts. It is outstanding, the colors are exceptional. Obviously, I have not looked at it very closely because I did not see the two deer in the corner of the frame. It's like a bonus within such a well prepared image. I am curious to know when this was actually taken, what time of year? I would like to get over to Sequoia soon and would like to be there when the dogwoods are blooming. Thanks in advance for your response. This is a wonderful rendering! Link to comment
floris2 0 Posted April 23, 2009 Hi Mark, thanks for the kind words! This is definitely one of my favorites, and the web version doesn't come close to the print. I took this at the very end of May last year - of course, peak times depend on the time of year, but the last two weeks in May are probably ideal. When I was there most of the leaves had come out already, which takes away some impact from the dogwoods, so I'm looking at going a week or so earlier this year.. I'll try to get my dad to scout 'em out in a few weeks since he lives about 45 min from here! Shoot me an email when you're planning on going and either we can meet up or I can give you any further information I have. Link to comment
