Thankyou both so much....the little one...is my 'angel'...and my daughter is 'mi heart'....this is the first truly great photo I have of them together.....and I'm so fortunate it worked out pretty good. Your kind words are very appreciated.

Thankyou Tony....I appreciate your kind words..and you absolutely right.

Overall not bad...I like the pose and expression and the connection between the two subjects...just experiment some with alternate lighting positions...straight on flash like this is the least flattering portrait option...can you bounce the flash off the roof or wall? I think the frame does a nice job obscuring a probably otherwise distracting background. A nice heirloom keepsake.

Thankyou for your helpful comments. Unfortunately, at the moment, I can't afford the Canon Flash that I'd like. so the 'onboard' one is all I have. My Dad is 'totally' into photography....he has all kinds of equipment....but most impessive lately is his Studio Lighting Equipment. "Umbrellas.....'et all'........" His success with those has been great. I was fortunate enough to manage to acquire the Camera....so I'll have to do my best with what I have for now. However....your other remarks bear reviewing, and will experiment with those. Thankyou again for your time and remarks. Gail

Alberto....thankyou....they are mine, and I am bias....amazing what love for your children and grandchildren does to your heart....I would feel like I had a huge hole in it, if they were gone......to experience that love and it ever to be removed....would be unberable. (Can you tell I am missing them??)

Beautiful shot Gail,I like what you have done with this.We have a lot in common I have a son in the same situation as your daughter.Maybe one day they will work it out,lets hope so.

Birte......I am so sorry that you have to experience what I do.....there is always worry...always a sense of fear....for their safety....a sense of helplessness when you'd like nothing more than to 'snatch' them away for any formidable presence that could cause 'emotional or physical harm'....

 

I think what hurts so much is my deep love for them; remembering the years when I protected my child from any kind of harm.....fiercely, at times....and now I can only hope and pray that they will not fall 'victim' to this situation before an opportunity arises for them to be free.

 

Thankyou for sharing your thoughts with me Birte. I shall pray for your situation....that it passes sooner - rather than later. Although it does not help them, it is consolation to me to know someone else shares the 'burden'......you have 'touched my heart' by confiding in me....openly sharing your concerns...at this moment I do not feel as 'alone' in this constant 'vigil'.....my deepest appreciation, Gail
