Harry... This is a wonderful, classic capture. The snow, the DOF and composition are just right. I don't know your opinion about minor changes, but to retain the "naturalness" of this setting I think it would be acceptable to take the leg bands off. Regardless, a real scroll stopper of an image... Mike

I agree with Michael that this is a wonderful capture. While the birds are slim and angular, you catch them together in a shape that is squat and rounded, with only a sliver of gray background between them to separate the back of one from the raised wing of the other. A simple way to emphasize their individual angularity is to suggest it with a narrow, more angular cropping, and it's likewise easy to emphasize the falling snow with a sketch effect, though it becomes less photography and more poetry (or perhaps profanity). ;-)

......., I want to thank all of you for the wonderful words and constructive criticism. Highly appreciated!!!!

To Michael Mancil and Charles Heckel: Yes I gould have taken the leg bands of and must admit it does look more natural now without. THNX!!!!

To Charles Heckel: Love the way you cropped the image and do agree it looks better this way, but, I'm sorry for that Charles, don't like the way you did ad the sketch effect to the snow ;-)

Thanks again and have a nice Sunday.

Best regards, Harry

Fabulous form - pity about the two bands which I would clone out then it would be a 7/7 - 6/6 anon:

Update: I rated this when I could not see other comments but most of us seem to agree about the leg bands.

I clicked on this because it reminded me of a Photograph of the Week. It wasn't until I saw the name that all became clear! While this photograph is very good indeed, I think I admire your determination in capturing it more.

Verry nice image. I like the oiginal more then the enhanced one, beside of the legstraps. The tones in the original are softer and more pleasant. Regards.

Hello Harry. What a unique image and capture you have here. Very nicely timed. I do agree on removing the tags...but otherwise I lean towards your original. Isn't art wonderful? Very subjective. And so goes photographic art. We all have our own tastes. Well done. 6/6 anon. Regards from Gary in Salt Lake City

I really like the pose and the nice snowy conditions. I would have cloned out the leg tags. I know some people would disagree, but I find that it detracts from an otherwise perfect shot.
