The dark red in this photo is one of my favorite colors (in fact it's pretty close to the color of my house). The way the red grasses cut a diagonal pattern amid the gold grass caught my eye. We were getting into the warmer climate here - if there are cypress trees in the water and palmettos higher along the shore it must be south Carolina.
