Inner Bloom

scott_sirkel

This picture was taken in the Botanical Gardens of Fort Worth Texas at approx. 4:00 p.m. on a partly cloudy fall afternoon. I was using a Nikon FM3A mounted on a tripod with a 70-300 mm zoom lens. I filled in the picture with a SB50 flash. The picture was exposed on Fuji 100 speed film.

Not in focus, highlights blown out - before you crop, you need to get these matters right. Right now, this seems to be an uninteresting and muddled shot of what may have been a very pretty flower.

A very good shot !

At first I saw a reproduction of a great water colour painting. But no flower!

Then I saw a number of different creatures. But still no flower. Its photography - meets water colour - meets Rorschack . Its not a flower photo ( too tightly cropped and especially not self contained enough for that) This picture is sending its tentackles in all directions. Great stuff.
