andrea-de-bonis 6 Posted March 27, 2009 the relation between the cold tones, blu, and the warm works perfectly in giving importance to the woman, she seems something magic. Link to comment
imagoaqua 0 Posted March 27, 2009 Very nice light Leora, and the colour contrast is perfect. Best regards from Galicia (Spain) Link to comment
raddatzphoto 0 Posted March 27, 2009 Assuming this is a (bad) scan of old work, and not deliberate photoshop. I can't imagine you were after dayglo & magentas back then. Interesting choice of film. Was it taken straight or pushed? Bet the print (and being there) was awesome! Love these classic fashion oldies. Link to comment
n_myers 0 Posted March 28, 2009 Overall I think this is a very nice image. The only thing I think it could benefit from is a tigher crop, placing the subject further right and eliminating the shorter post behind her. It is a bit distracting to me. Link to comment
leora 3 Posted March 29, 2009 Dear Michael and N. Myers, thanks for the challenge. I find your suggestions very helpful and appreciate your comments. I have posted the original scan from my early morning beach shot and recropped it to address both of your concerns. I had found the scan a little subtle for my tastes and created a heightened reality. And I had already considered the crop suggested, but chose to post the full slide for the overall perspective. Let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping by and best regards, Leora Link to comment
jkilgo 0 Posted March 30, 2009 I like the funky colors...impressive effort for a scanned image. I have to agree with one of the other posters though...I prefer the alternate crop you highlighted in your response. For some reason the pile on the right of the image is distracting for me. Nice effort overall though. Link to comment
leora 3 Posted March 31, 2009 Thanks, J. I am glad I tried the tighter crop. But the sun hitting the extra piling in the more saturated version still strikes a nice note for me. Anyway, I appreciate your thoughts. Link to comment
