The hands and legs, the light, the expression, the degree of "exposure" all work really well here I think!

Is that a Mickey Mouse babuschka?! It contrasts well with the ornately made up eyes.

My only suggestion is that I would have cut off the bottom of the photo. I think this would also work well as a square composition.
