birds & wildlife "Cranes in Flight"

I shot this picture of Sandhill Cranes near Parma, Idaho. Their large

wingspans (~ 5 ft!) allow them to soar high, using thermals for lift and

flap their wings only occasionally - it also allows us to take reasonably

sharp photos even during sunset. Click on photo above to view a larger
