dgv 1 Posted March 24, 2009 Very colourful shot Ray, so much so that it hurts the eyes a bit when looking at it on the screen, I think it would better as a print. Best wishes, DS. Link to comment

ray.koushik 0 Posted March 25, 2009 Dimitris, Oskar, El, Mehmet, Piet, Jose, Amal-da, thank you very much for your appreciation and support. Dimitris, you're right; these paintings, called "patachitra", are extremely colorful. -koushik Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted March 25, 2009 Very good environmental portrait. Subject is well placed in the frame though almost overwhelmed by his own works. Did he get a copy of this? Always good public relations if it is possible to get him one. Great eye! Velvia would be overkill here. Best, LM. Link to comment

jayanti 0 Posted March 26, 2009 Nice colors and wonderful representation of Our Kolkata . However, I would like to see the face of the painter a bit sharper. Best regards.. Link to comment
ray.koushik 0 Posted March 27, 2009 Jayanti, thank you for your comment. Here's my excuse: He'll be a bit sharper in a bigger print, but with his very dark complexion you can not get the full detail of the face as well as the very colorful paintings together, i believe. I wanted the paintings to be prominent rather than a portrait of the painter in this. -koushik Link to comment

jeffl7 0 Posted March 28, 2009 Stunning color. I like how the artist is drab, off center, lost in his work. And what work. The blue fish painting behind him is absolutely fantastic. Link to comment
