rich815 0 Posted February 19, 2001 Isn't Agfa APX 100 a black & white film? Anyway, I think you have a nice shot but something got lost in the scan. Is this a scan of the negative or of the print? So much detail is lost in the moutain. Where did you take this from by the way? I grew up in the Lamorinda area, just curious. Rich (Beijing, CHINA) Link to comment
smth opr8r 0 Posted February 20, 2001 Sorry folks, the film type was Agfa Prestige 100. See what happens when you don't double-check your work?! Link to comment
sorin 0 Posted February 20, 2001 The sky is featureless, no pont of interest, symetrical composition, picture is/looks soft. I would go back there at sunrise/sunset when there are some clouds in the ski and when is very cold (well, that might not be possible in CA :-) to reduce the haze, get something in the foreground, use a tripod. joe_lempkowski1 0 Posted February 21, 2001 He's lucky to have gotten that picture with snow on the top of the mountain. It isn't often that it snows in that area and when it does it doesn't stick around long. Link to comment
rich_plecker 0 Posted February 21, 2001 I agree with Sorin. Your picture is a bit soft (maybe scan quality) but the big problem too me is the apparent featureless sky... it is too dominant in this picture to be so uneventful Link to comment
sarah_adams1 0 Posted September 5, 2003 Hi, I would use a bue or gray graduated filter in this shot, that would add interest to the sky and I would bracket the exposures as you have 2 very different areasa to expose for - in this shot the foreground is exposed beautifully however as people have already mentioned the mountain has lost detail and fades into the sky. The composition is pleasant though. Could be interesting to see it at different times of the day or different seasons. Link to comment
