ciofalo 0 Posted March 21, 2009 The treatment of the foreground is superb, but in my opinion the sky is too harshly saturated and contrasts innaturally with the softer tones of the wheat. Perhaps the sky and the glow of the sun should be slightly darkened and de-saturated to match the foreground better. Just an attempt to turn a splendid photo into a perfect one. Link to comment
mariussabo 0 Posted March 21, 2009 Thank you all for your comments. @Michele Ciofalo Thank you for your suggestion. Could the sky be a little bit darker? Yes, but I like this variation too. Is the "sky too harshly saturated and contrasts innaturally"? Hmm ... I checked my monitor and calibrated again. Was Ok. Then I look at this photo at my wife’s laptop ... and there was indeed very vivid/bluish. I calibrated the laptop too and than the photo looked ok So, maybe I have too strong tastes or your monitor needs calibration.?! Anyway, if you want, please, make a variation and then show me. I appreciate your interest. Edit: I changed the photo as you suggested, though. Link to comment
Bilal Zaheer 0 Posted March 24, 2009 I dont know how it looked earlier but indeed the sky is looking great and coherent with the rest of the shot. great work! Link to comment
marc_dilley1 0 Posted March 10, 2010 I can offer no critique here, just comment. I have never seen a field of grain approached like this; it is wonderful. 7 for originality. Link to comment
