dgv 1 Posted March 24, 2009 I must look up this symbol, I am sure I have seen it before. Am I right in thinking that is ''yin'' and ''yen''? Best wishes, DS. Link to comment
chens 0 Posted March 24, 2009 thanks you all, my friends, for your kindness. regards. to Dimitris this picture came from a wall of a Tao religion temple. it's part of a Ba gua(or Eight Trigrams) figure. the Ba gua figure came from an ancient China philosphy of I Ching. and the whole things , simply said, explained the origin of the universe. you may see the center part of this Ba gua figure on a Korean flag. and you're right, it did refer to the continuously transmation of the 'Yin' and 'Yang'. in Wikipedia you may use the relative keywords to look up some explanations in case you are interested. thanks for asking.
