Me Myself I

ian cameron

A beautiful serene sunrise with a sky to die for, the rising sun staining the snow dusted mountains of the Blackmount on Rannoch moor was sublime and the whole lot perfectly reflected in the mirror smooth lochan. It was a joy to behold and I was the only person there to witness it.NEW Photography workshops and masterclasses at TRANSIENT LIGHT.

My oh my doesn't it! It really comes alive in the large size.

The textures in the bush and the distant slopes are both fantastic and seem to balance one another. I love the waves of pink in the sky and the colours in general.

I am surprised by how balanced the composition feels. When I first opened this, I thought it would seem unbalanced. But, as I have been looking at this, nothing bothers me and it feels quite harmonious.

Ian, thank you so much for taking to time look around you and pull different shots out of over photographed locations (as well as your explorations of course). You and Simon Butterworth are the only two photographers who inspire me to visit Scotland, and possibly the only two looking for unique viewpoints and posting great images online amoung the sea of 'photo-tourist' rot. Fabulous to see that a ingenuitycan still exist, that images with Scottish soul can be fresh and inspiring just like this one, instead of the usual lacklustre tripod indented apathy that infects Rannock Moor and Glencoe like a visual disease.
