theresa_maeurer 0 Posted November 28, 2002 Really out of focus, but I didn't realize that this was Impressionism. Even so, it doesn't hit the mark. Link to comment
sean_okeefe 0 Posted December 2, 2002 Impressionism- A style of painting characterized chiefly by concentration on the general impression produced by a scene or object and the use of unmixed primary colors and small strokes to simulate actual reflected light. Webster's Dictionary Link to comment
patrickconnolly 0 Posted December 5, 2002 Yes, that is indeed the definition... However, impressionism had a focus (no pun intended) - it was an impression of something tangible. Perhaps a cafe scene, a meal, etc. The impression this leaves me with is that the photographer has tripped and is falling forward and to the left. Now, having said that ... keep shooting. It may be very hard to pull off using a photo, but the idea has merit and should be pursued. Link to comment
