Children in fountain

No idea of aperture/speed - probably f/5.6 because the 24-70 only manages that at the 70mm end. It was the only lens longer than 50mm I had with me. Moving in closer with the 50mm would have meant I could open up to reduce the depth of field a bit, but it would also have meant me and my camera being soaked through in about 30 seconds.

This fountain is outside the casinos and so on which sit beside the river in Melbourne. Random jets of water erupt from a multitude of nozzles set in the pavement. Perfect on a spring/summer day because it's quite unsheltered down there, and breathtakingly hot. I was just passing through, but captivated by the spectacle - the kids (and many adults) were obviously delighted and the fountain not only soaked people and kept them cool, it made rainbows in the sunlight. This kid kept coming back for more, and I eventually got the shot I was waiting for. The scan doesn't really do it justice. Comments welcome, as ever, but I was quite pleased with this. For preference I'd have used a wider aperture but the option wasn't available.
