Blue Iris

this is a HUGE purple/blue iris that was growing "wild" in the front yard. Big sticky, sappy monster of a thing caught any and every breeze and kept hitting my lens (which I would then clean off just in time to get it sappy again) so I cut it off and took it indoors and put it on my lightbox to photograph it with controlled lighting and no wind. I think I also had some posterboard propped above the flower, reflecting light from the lightbox and from the sunny window about 10 feet away.E100VS film, 1sec, f/16 shot at -1 exposure compensation from the matrix meter. scanned on HP s20, resized with Thumbs+ software.
