This is one great capture! Love all the different angles you'ved picked up in the shot. The lighting is fantastic. Never been here but is that the Opera House at the end of the Harbour? Very different view of it.6/7 and in my favorites..RAY

Thanks Raymond, that is the Opera house in the distance, actually now you mention it there are not many shots taken from this angle, will see if I can take some more next time I am in the city early.

Textbook perfect use of lines and I really like the star effect of that lens. Congrats, Dean

It looks great! Very good composition. How is the quality for such a long exposure on digital in let´s say 16x12 print?

Thanks everyone for your comments.

Petr, the photo was taken with the new Canon 50D MkII, only cropped slightly so lots of resolution for enlargement. I have found noise very well controlled on this camera with 10+ minute exposures and have a high res 20" by 12" screen and there is no sign of any noise with this photo.

Superb and Excellent. The composition is exactly what you intended. Our eye is directed first to the group of colorful buildings across the water under the bridge, then down to the left to the Opera House, across the left and up the path back to the camera and again back to the lights, a perfect circular composition keeping our eye in the image all the time. The upper part of the bridge is cropped off making it less dominant in the image forcing the eye to look as described. An image worth hanging in a fine gallery. Paul

Just a comment, rather than a critique!!

Beautiful picture, the quality was evident even in thumbnail size, and even more so at this size. Wonderful capture, makes me want to get out there and try more night shots myself!
