The Opera House as seen from the base of the harbour bridge in

Sydney, on Friday 13th. There was also a full moon rising behind the

clouds which later that evening turned into a thunderstorm. To top it all

off we even had fruit bats hovering around, unfortunately they do not stay

still enough for a 6 minute exposure.

Setting out to take one of the most photographed buildings in the world you might have thought you couldn't get anything original. How wrong you can be! This is great. The post to the right interfering with the view of the opera house is a distraction. Also the opera house itself doesn't seem as sharp as it could be. Very good.

Thanks everyone for your comments, David I agree about the RHS post, I will need to pack a crate to stand on next time as I was already stretching on my toes to frame this shot and it was so dark, live view was no assistance. The opera house is actually very sharp I will see if I can add a portion of it to this message later. Perhaps it is the compression I use when submitting shots to Photo.net?

Brendan, you might not need a crate. Would it have been possible to move slightly to the left? I realise that may have changed your idea of composition.

Really nice work The foreground leads to the middle of the scene the moon and Opera house but keeping everything in context . Well done could note 7/7 due to PN system as usual
