I wondered why this eye-catching and colourful portrait made me feel uneasy, and has received so few visits and no ratings, and I know the fault isn't yours.Is it just that in this no- longer-innocent world,images of children lying among the leaves on the forest floor are so often the stuff of parents' nightmares?

Just one candid moment

This obviosly should have had more attention. The image has great mood. Exposure and detail are excellent. This site and its critiquers often miss that the strengnth of an image is located in the mood or emotion evoked. People often forget to look or ignore it. I just watched a show called "The greatest photos in sports", and almost all chosen were of an emotional nature. The mood in those images was extremely strong. I am uploading one that a man took, that the newspaper he worked for passed over, and didn't use. He believed in its strength, showed it to others, an was voted "the image of the century" in sports last year. Your image is not the same kind of moment in time, but it is a piece of art that has strength in the mood evoked.
