lorraine 0 Posted November 23, 2002 This photo is intended to make an impact, of how it must feel to be looking down the barrel of a gun. In order to do this, I altered a black and white photo using photoshop. The gun is meant to be the focal point, and the man blurred somewhat. It is sopposed to look sinister. Did I succeed? arnabdas 0 Posted November 23, 2002 You did! He does look sinister and kind of decided. Just that textures on fingers ask for some attention, distracting viewer very mildly from the muzzle of the gun. Link to comment
bob_lorello 0 Posted November 23, 2002 This sure works for me. The gentleman is perfect, a no-nonsense John Wayne look alike tough guy.The gun positioning is just right. The detail in the hand just enhances the intimidation effect. I would love to know how this inspiration evolved. Link to comment
nick_fullerton 0 Posted November 26, 2002 The three circles in perfect alignment with the lack of any other geometrics makes the photo striking. The viewer toggles between the points of the barrel and darkened iris that lends well to the desired effect. Link to comment
peter_daalder 0 Posted November 26, 2002 Great shot! Even the small thumbnail is compelling enough to make you stop and have a close look. Not a fan of altering images, but when it done with this sort of great effect, I have to acknowledge that! Cheers, Link to comment
william_scott4 0 Posted December 4, 2002 truely astonishing. it displays a deep uglyness personified by the eye, and how it lines up with the sight and the barrel (kudos on composition) the image, being an inverse, brings out the emotion on his face. this is atruely wonredful shot in all the shocking and horrible ways.
