San Joaquin Valley

 

A little trip in the dark paid off here. The moon was up just before

sunrise and the wildflowers were everywhere. I got a quite a different

shots on this past Wednesday morining.

Hey Steve, I like the boulder you have placed on the left for a counter point. My composition was lacking that, mainly because I arrived at the very moment of peak sky color, the other reason is I was with my 4 year old daughter. If I wanted a better arrangement of subjects, I would have to carry her around looking for a better comp. So I did the only thing I could, I grabbed what was right in front of me. So you have been up to hwy 223, also called Bear Mountain hwy. I head up here quite often. The fiddlenecks are like shag carpet. Down the hill near the flat there are fields of Lupine and Poppy. Just jump the fence to get into the mix. You should also check out Wind Wolves Preserve off of hwy 166. Just google it for more info. Try to post a few more from this area, I would like to see them!
