Jim/Tony- thanks for the comments. Tony, I tried looking at your attachment (this one and the other), but Syracuse and UConn were in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th overtime periods in the Big East quarter-finals (dunno if you're a basketball fan - I like the college playoffs/March Madness - you always see some great games) but I couldn't concentrate on photos, and now that it's over and Syracuse won, I'm too exhausted to look - not because of the hour, but because of the 4 hour basketball game that will go down in history. (Previous OT record was 3 overtimes in 1981; I think this one's gonna stand for a while.) I'm bettin' our president was watching this one!!

Great Shot Sandra. What camera could you have possibly been using? I think I prefer this one to the next in the series. There seems to be just a little more going on. I like the sense of fireworks exploding. Focus seems a little soft but it doesn't bother me. DOF works to continue the action, almost like an echo of the front stem. I didn't see the basketball game but if it went that long it will take several days for you to recover. All the best. -- Charles

Hi Charles-

Thanks for the comments. I was focusing on the big round bloom, hoping there wold be enough dof to catch some of the foreground buds- but macro is a game of tenths of inches.... what camera was I using.. ha - check the EXIF details. : D Tell you what, I'll upload some pussywillow buds I did a couple of years ago with the D100 - you might be surprised at how they compare to the D700 shots.
