balosie 0 Posted March 11, 2009 Kim, Looks great to me. The only thing I'm not sure of is the limb at far right. At first glance I thought it was in the background, but seems to be forward of the birds tail. Or maybe it's just me. Just the same a Beautiful Shot. Regards db Link to comment
srichardson 0 Posted March 11, 2009 Kim, Great shot. Very nice colors and background contrast. I agree with Dean on the limb. Still a wonderful capture. Link to comment
bookbagged 0 Posted March 11, 2009 This is beautiful! I love the softness of the background that draws the bird into your attention immediately. The lighting is also very good. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 12, 2009 Thanks everybody! The limb is in front of his tail. I couldn't do much about that. Are you suggesting I attempt to clone it off the tail feathers? I'm not sure my skills are up to that. Link to comment
t_t27 0 Posted March 12, 2009 Beautifully captured, Kim. Quite nice that there was no twig blocking him. Exposure and details around the eye work well, given the non-ideal lighting condition. I don't think I've ever seen one ever since leaving Texas, more than 15 years ago. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 13, 2009 thanks Thai! I did do a little PS work to make the dark side of him more visible. Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted March 14, 2009 Good capture, Kim. There was an abundance of them this year. Should of hollered, I'd have bought y'all a fried chicken dinner and had a cup of coffee with you at the Rock Inn. Best Regards, ~Sky Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 15, 2009 This guy was so fun; he entertained me continually...I had to chase him away from the truck side mirrors to get photos of him in trees:) It would have been fun to meet you. I think we were a lot further north than you are...didn't you say you're somewhere around Austin? We were by Seymour. We usually go down by Brady, but tried a new place. Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted March 15, 2009 The cardinals have seemed much more lively this winter. I think because there was more seeds left at the end of summer. I drive through Seymour and Austin several times a year. You know I'd have been tickled to drive to Seymour to say howdy in person to you and Bob. ~Sky Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 16, 2009 Now you tell me! I thought you liked to remain incognito and mysterious, or I would have suggested it! Well, if the economy allows, maybe we'll be back next winter. Link to comment
