Linda-

This is a stunning piece of work. The natural textures of the grasses, the weathered wood of the wagon and the subtle, gentle colors are marvelous. Technically and aesthetically excellent piece of work.

Linda, this is a reminder of the what agriculture was practiced in the old era, before the modern machinery took its place... it has a beauty of form and texture, of the field as well, as well as nice composition and color palette.

I am attracted to the color scheme, the muted tones, the light and the composition.Everything 'adds up' and is in perfect harmony - the main subject and its surroundings. Congrats! PN will only allow me to rate 6/6 and I don\t want to lower your rating avg so I will abstain but this is a 7/7 in my books.

Rashed, thank you so much. It wasn't that long ago that people were living the old western life. We see evidence of their lives on the back roads and farms all over the country.

Lester, thank you vrery much. It's good to hear from you.

Glauco, thank you, glad to hear you like it.

Sonia, I'm impressed! You are the first to notice that I blended a colour layer with a B&W. I was trying to intensify that worn, washed out look.

Alina, it's good to hear from you. Thank you! I love the sage, it is beautiful all year round, it smells wonderful and you can put in your soup. Best wishes back to you.

Ioannis, thank you very much.

Andrea, thanks for stopping by.

Sandra, I am always thrilled when I stumble upon some weathered old relic from the past. I always wonder what stories they must have. Thank you so much for your thoughts, they are always greatly appreciated.

Pnina, yes, you are right. What a difficult life of hard work they had back then. I can't image how our pioneers did it, travelling across the continent in wooden wagons without roads, then hacking a life out of the wilderness. They must have been tough. Thank you for your thoughts. It is good to hear from you.

Tony, thank you, I'm glad you like it. Don't worry about rating averages, I don't. I just like to get an overall idea of what people think. Is it appealing or does it stink? If I don't get a single rating or comment I know I am on the wrong track. All the best!

Impressive !!! make me remember the song "Donna Donna" singing by Joan Baez

"...On a waggon bound for market,

there`s a calf with a mournful eye.

High above him there`s a swallow,

winging swiftly through the sky.

How the winds are laughing,

they laugh with all their might.

Laugh and laugh the whole day through,

and half the summer`s night......"

Thank so much for the lyrics. I loved that song years ago, back in the day. I haven't heard it for ages. Now I am going to be humming it. All the best.
