portraits 1st Basement Studio Shots

Trying to learn more about lighting and posing. Would appreciate any

feedback or tips.

Well, the lighting looks great to me; but let me note that I am not a studio photographer. It is certainly an attractive and attention grabbing portrait (in spite of the number of comments). I have gone away from this image a couple of times and have returned for additional looks to try to understand what is so magnetic and I've decided it is the model herself. Such a pleasant personality reflected here, from the dimples, to the laugh lines at the eyes, to the eyes themselves that sparkle. I would be surprised if this is a paid model. The reason I did not comment initially was the unique pose. I couldn't decide if it worked for me, but now I find it is perfect for this young lady and fits the playful personality presented. I enjoyed flipping through your photos. I especially enjoyed the shots from the Smokies. Really beautiful work.

Congratulations Benjamin, Beautiful photo and beautiful wife. I'm not a pro but I think that the upper part of her blouse is almost merging with the background, maybe you could try to overexpose the BG 1 stop more with a strobe and got more detail on white of clothes. This is the only minor critique I have. Everything looks perfect, the lips line, skin, hair, everything.
