Thanks, Tony. I am working on getting more depth/dimension and movement into my abstracts. Your comment makes me feel as though I am making progress in that direction.

I see depth in this one: brightly colored elements in front with duller colors in the background. I am no expert on abstracts but be careful with complexity - might need a PH.D to appreciate it.

Didi and Jayanti -

Thank you very much for the positive feedback. I am always somehow surprised as well as pleased when viewers like my abstracts... I enjoy creating them, and it is fulfilling to know that they bring enjoyment to others.

It is sure abstract and strange. Not only by forms but colours, too. It is simple and difficult at the same time. It is interesting and raises many questions (what is that and how did you get it, Did you PP and how much...) Whatever, it looks great. Respect, a s l a

Hi Asla-

Thank you for commenting on this picture. Abstracts are fascinating, and I enjoy creating them. The original photograph was a brilliant sunset seen through leafless trees in winter. I created several abstracts from the original photograph, then created this one fro one of those, so I guess you could say this one is the grandchild of the sunset photo.

This work was created entirely in PhotoShop. I pick a photo and begin to alter it using various filters, distortions and other effects available in PhotoShop. I started doing this when I sent my camera back for annual repair and couldn't take any new photos...until Feb. 28th when I bought a new camera. the other is still being repaired (annual maintenance found the flash circuitry was bad, so now it is in Japan being fixed).
